I. Jak utowrzyć zdania przeczące?
Wystarczy dodać not za czasownikiem.
Odmiana:
to be | być |
|
|
I am not a student | ja nie jestem studentem |
you are not a student | ty nie jesteś studentem |
he, she, it is not a student | on, ona, ono nie jest studentem |
|
|
we are not students | my nie jesteśmy studentami |
you are not students | wy nie jesteście studentami |
they are not students | oni/one nie są studentami/studentkami |
II. Czy istnieje forma skrócona tej odmiany?
Tak. A nawet dwie:
Pierwsza możliwość:
Wystarczy połączyć w jedno dwa słowka i wpisać apostrof zamiast literki o.
is + not = isn’t
are+not = aren’t
Przykłady:
You aren’t a student | ty nie jesteś studentem |
He, she, it isn’t a student | on, ona, ono nie jest studentem |
|
|
We aren’t students | my nie jesteśmy studentami |
You aren’t students | wy nie jesteście studentami |
They aren’t students | oni/one nie są studentami/studentkami |
Druga możliwość:
Stosujemy skróconą formę czasownika „to be” w zdaniu oznajmującym i dopisujemy za nim not.
I’m not a student. |
You’re not a student. |
He’s not a student. |
She’s not a student. |
He’s not a student. |
It’s not a student. |
Liczba mnoga
We’re not students. |
You’re not students. |
They’re not students. |
Zauważ! – skróconą formę czasownika być w pierwszej osobie liczby pojedynczej.
możemy utworzyć tylko drugim sposobem.
Błąd!!!
Nie można napisać: I amn’t a student.
