Hi, my name is John. We had a nice school trip last Wednesday. We visited an old military fort and a palace in the city. The fort is from the 17th century and the palace is from the 19th century. The fort was the best. There were a lot of guns and cannons and in the dungeons there were real torches. People were dressed in traditional uniforms from that historical period and our guide was perfect. The fort is on an island so we had to take a cruise to it. The weather was fantastic. It was sunny and warm. A lot of armies tried to attack the fort but they failed. The fort is just too strong. I had a great time, but at one point I dropped my camera from a high wall. I almost fainted. It fell down about 20 meters but when I picked it up it worked OK. Nothing happen to it. Can you believe it? My friend was lucky, too. She got lost in the fort and she found fifty pounds on her way back. The palace wasn't very exciting. It looked really beautiful from the outside but inside there were only pictures of old people and very old furniture. It was really boring. I don't understand why tourists want to pay so much money for a ticket.
